So, I was waiting to post today to give you an update on the pregnancy, but my appointment was cancelled today since my doctor was delivering a baby. So now, I won't see her until next Thursday when I will be a day short of turning 37 weeks. I am anxious to know how much I have grown since the last appointment 2 weeks ago. I was also hoping to get an answer that if I make it to my due dat (May 14) how long will she let me go. I guess I will have to wait.
So on Monday night, Jayson and I attended a 2 1/2 hour infant care class and when we walked out of the class, I told Jayson that reality has just hit and that I am getting nervous about the whole labor and delivery process. We started the class by watching a video of what they do with the baby as soon as he is born and seeing the mother there with her legs spread wide open, all sweaty, made me a little uncomfortable and nervous of what my delivery will entail. Will it be an easy delivery, or will I be in labor for hours?? We learned how to swaddle babies, feed (both breast feeding & bottle feeding), bathing, health and nutrition, etc.
We were both glad that we attended this class, because we leanred so much that people just don't tell you or what to expect.

You will do great I know it!!! Can't wait ~Traci
ReplyDeleteAw..Jennifer, don't be nervous. It'll be a great day and you'll forget about everything...no matter if you have a long or short labor and delivery...as soon as you hold that cute little Conner Alan Savino in your arms, life will be perfect. I can not wait and hope I see you sometime before you deliver. I want to see your big belly!! :))
ReplyDeleteYou'll do great Jenn! Keeping you all in my prayers...AV
ReplyDeleteI completely understand your nerves, but you will do great! The nurses (since you won't see your doctor much), and Jayson of course, will be there with you every step of the way! -Jenna L.
