Believe it or not, Connor started school this year at St. Philip Catholic School in the Pre K 3 class. We attended orientation yesterday and found out that he was going to have Mrs. Connie as his teacher and we couldn't be more happier with his teacher. We walked into her classroom and he started playing right away as we meet Mrs. Connie.
This morning when he woke up he was ready to put on his red shirt right and go to school. He kept asking me if I was going to leave him there by him self. It kind of made me wonder if we were going to have a hard time this morning at drop off. Well, we dropped off Luke and headed to St. Philip. When we arrived, he said let's go in mommy. This boy was so ready for this day to come, he was ready to "go play." Sure enough, he walked straight in and started playing. I asked for a hug and a kiss and he was like, Mom, come on... I got a quick hug and he took off with all the other kids. So, actually the drop off was great, and I didn't shed a tear.
When I went to pick him up and we were leaving, he showed me what he played with and where exactly he took his nap at on the floor. I read the note that Mrs. Connie left and it read, Connor had an awesome first day and loved the hammering activity and the "freeze" game they played during music time. I asked him what was his favorite part of the day and he told me hammering and the playground. He told me that he was ready to go back there again. Sounds like this boy likes school! I'm just glad that the first day went so well!
Since he had such a great first day, we stopped for a treat on the way home.

So grown up! Glad y'all had a great first day!
