Sea World and Zoo

Last Monday we loaded up and headed to San Antonio for the night to see Sea World and the zoo. We got to Sea World that morning about 9:30 and began our day of fun. That day was actually the day the the "cool" front made it through and it was actually nice. After lunch, we had an overcast and a cool breeze to keep us cool. (I didn't get to take a whole lot of pictures from our trip, but that is what happens when you have two kids that need your attention or held the entire time.)
We first went to see the dolphins and then the kids played on the slides for a while..

and Connor met Franklin (He surprised us that we went straight up to him and took a picture of him) Luke on the other hand did not want any part of him.

Then headed to catch the first show of the day - Cannery Row Caper - Connor was engaged by the show and Luke was engaged in his snack - but made it through the show.

Then we ate and quickly hurried to Shamu
Luke was more interested in the stairs next to him, but Connor enjoyed the show
Tried to get a picture of him jumping, but was too late each time

then we moved onto Elmo's Bay of Play. Connor was much more interested in the rope climbing and slides that the water part. He surprises us that he actually climbed the rope by himself.

While we were there, Sesame Street characters came out and Connor wanted a picture with them. Again, Luke on the other hand wouldn't let me put him down.

Oh, and then Luke spotted the "sissy" (horsey) and that is all he wanted to do the rest of the day. Good thing the line wasn't that long,,, You got off and could get back on the next round. While Daddy and Luke did this, Connor went on the Shamu Express coaster and loved it!

Although I don't have pictures from everything, we did manage to make it to all the shows that day and visit all the animals. The kids and us all enjoyed our day. We stayed at the Hilton that night and was up early the next morning to visit the zoo.

We got to the zoo when it first opened and was there for about 2 1/2 hours and still didn't see everything. I think Jayson and I enjoyed the zoo more than the kids. We would get to an animal and Connor right away would say, ok lets go see another one. As we were touring the zoo, there was some construction inside the zoo and my boys were more interested in the tractors then the animals.

and the last stop was the train ride

we ate lunch and then made it home to rest up to go to the bay the next morning to celebrate the 4th. More on that to come....
